The following information is about Toronto Green Community's 2011 Container Gardening Train the Trainer. For information about previous Train the Trainer programs, please visit:http://torontogreen.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=119

Thanks to generous support from Live Green Toronto and the Earth Day Canada Community Environment Fund, Toronto Green Community was able to host four free Container Gardening Train the Trainer sessions across Toronto March and April 2011. These workshops provided 75 community members with the tools and resources to lead free workshops on container gardening in their communities. To achieve this, participants received hands-on training in container gardening and were provided with the supplies, tools and resources needed to host a workshop for up to 25 people. To ensure that trainers were able to access space and support to deliver their workshops, each trainer was paired with a local community organization that acted as their sponsor for the program and will assist with promotion and administration.
